Brief Outliner
Sadly the two Websites in the title no longer are available so this series is the only remaining pieces of my Kakapos. I making a new season and you'll be able to understand the meerkats.
Episode 12: Season Final -The Revenge
With all the events that have been taking place this season, things have taken a terrible turn for the Kakapos. First they lost their long time Dominant Couple Sea Star and Piper, then they lost Miracle to a burrow raid caused by Kakapo evictee Moonrise. Then Yuki was predated. If things didn't go bad, Tracker killed Velvet's pups.
Now Tracker's pups will be born any time soon and Firefly has plans for them and their selfish mother.
Meet the Kakapos;
Firefly: The New Leader
Velvet: the heartbroken mother
Tracker: the Troubled Rebel
Caring Sunset and...
The Ever growing Terrors
The Kakapos are out earlier then usual and they moving quite briskly, the reason? Tracker is absent and she had gave birth to her pups during the night. This has caused her to sleep in, and the chance for Firefly's revenge.
Firefly is purposely moving the group and if it works out then Tracker will get a taste of her bitter medicine, the selfish meerkat had no right to do this to Velvet and if this was the best way, then Firefly was going to do it.
At the burrow a slim form appeared from the burrow. It was Tracker and she was startled that there was nobody waiting. The meerkat stood on her hind legs and looked around briefly before she ducked back into the burrow.
She had a large litter, seven pups in all and she needed to eat, but with nobody to watch her pups then they would be vulnerable, but she needs to eat.
Tracker came aboveground again and looked around hopeful, but saw nobody then headed back to her pups.
Without a care for Tracker's plight, the main Kakapos were looking for breakfeast at a new foraging patch. Even Velvet was digging, but there wasn't much shine in her eyes and she didn't seem keen to do so.
At her burrow. Tracker was getting hungry and frantic, she was fretful as she waited for her family who was no longer coming back. She needed to eat, but she couldn't leave her pups. Tracker was now facing that choice that many females had to face. Her pups or her family?
On the other side of the desert, things were heating up at the Terrors. Moonrise had delivered a healthy litter of pups and those pups came above ground today, five young fighters, but Moonrise can smell a rat in her mob.
Her daughter Rosaline is showing signs of being a rebel and Moonrise doesn't want any challege to her position. She'll have to watch carefully.
Weeks later and things are getting harder for Tracker. The group has abandoned her and she has managed to keep all seven pups alive, but for how long is unknown, especially with winter on the way.
The Kakapos are settling into their new burrow and Velvet seems to be slowly recovering. But Miracle still hasn't appeared and known it's starting to be though that she's dead.
As winter nears to close the Kalahari in its claws, a large group of meerkats are lingering close to the Kakapos' borders. The winter might be the battle ground where all three clans might collide.

Episode 11: Tracker's Way or the Hard Way
Meet the Kakapos-
Firefly: the Newest Dominant
Velvet: her troubled sister
Tracker: The Rebel
The Vicious Terrors
Firefly is finding controling her sister Tracker is getting hard. Tracker is now a rebel and she's doing all she can to get leadership, but Firefly is more stable minded and stronger, but can she save Velvet?
The group was settling at their new burrow, they had to move after a jackal attacked the babysitting burrow, it killed Tansy and the teenage babysitter, and now as the group prepared the burrow, tension was rising.
Velvet hadn't recovered from her loss of Miracle and now she was close to having her pups, but a threat was looming over her from her sister Tracker who is pregnant as well.
Tracker was the troubled female and has a low rank, but she's confident that she will get her way, and the first thing was that she was expecting and she had to make sure her pups were safe.
Firefly sighs guiltily, not matter how many times she tries to force her dominance, Tracker is like a iron maiden and the new leader can feel her grip slipping, but she won't give up yet.
With the chores finished, Firefly lead the group out to forage and they were in luck. Velvet barely was eating, but she knew with pups she had to eat alot, but today would be the day.
Soon Velvet slips away, unnoticed by all the group, except...for Tracker.
Velvet returned to the group slimmer and famished, but she had made a tough choice to rejoin the foragers, she only hoped that her sister was watching.
But Tracker did seen and the meerkat waited for midday before she snuck away and headed for the empty burrow. With nobody in her way, she went into the burrow and headed straight for the new pups.
When Tracker came up the meerkat was shocked. Standing before her was the other Kakapos with a very angry Firefly at the head, shoving past her, Firefly followed Velvet below ground.
The worst was confirmed. All of Velvet's pups were dead and it was caused by Tracker, this act seem to finally break the last string. Velvet cuddled her lifeless pups willing them to wake up.
As for Firefly, her anger boiled and with that she turned and shot out of the burrow, pounced on Tracker's back and attacked her sister, Jade and Sunset joined in and a few others. Then they stopped and ignored Tracker.
One by one all of Velvet's pups were brought above ground and taken around the area to be burried, but Firefly was making plans, Tracker's actions should not go unpunished, what she did broke Velvet's heart and now the pregnant meerkat would pay.
Next Time:
Another season must end and how will Firefly get back at Tracker for her actions?
At the Terrors, Moonrise finds that her future might be under threat from within...
And has the Tsunamis set their path for domination?

Episode 10: Lost Echoes
Meet the Kakapo Meerkats-
Yuki: The New Leader
Tybalt: her fierce, but loyal partner
Velvet: the Troubled Mother
Tracker: the unsettling rival
And the fierce Terrors
For Velvet, life seems to had lost meaning now. Her only surviving pup Miracle still hadn't appeared and now she was pregnant again, but Yuki seems to be compassinate to her big sister and knows that the female is going through a tough time.
While Yuki, Jade, and Fireclaw groom and comfort Velvet, one meerkat is watching coldly. And that female is Tracker.
Tracker was one of Sea Star's oldest daughters and actually is Velvet's littermate, but she's a trouble meerkat, with big ambitions. Clearly Tracker isn't happy that one of her little sisters was now at the head of the group, and now one of her sisters is pregnant.
Tracker is pregnant as well and she's determinded to make sure her pups have a better chance. This will be her first litter if things go her way, but it might not.
As the Kakapos stirr, three meerkats are absent. Tybalt, the newly aclaimed dominant male, and Tsunami brothers Corbin and Sherman, the three had done the unthinkable, especially Tybalt. They deserted the mob!
For Yuki this could be bad, her leadership lies on having a mate and being able to raise pups, if one of her sisters finds a mate then she could be overthrown. With Tracker pregnant, she has a new rival.
For Velvet, she could barely care less. The Terrors, lead by her brutal big sister Moonrise took her only surviving pup and all her hope with it.
But for Yuki there is some relief, her pups are coming aboveground. Triss, Tansy, Nimbalo, and little Bluefen, the pups don't seem to keen to come aboveground and it takes some encouragements from Aunt Sunset and their mother before they gain the courage.
After several minutes all four pups are up and Yuki leads the foragers out, leaving behind Cloudy and Stormy to watch the pups. However, the group aren't aware that one meerkat won't be coming back.
When the group does return, one meerkat is missing from the ranks. Dominant female Yuki has fallen victim to a jackal, the only thing left is her radio collar.
For her pups life will be harder, and for Velvet and Tracker the stage has been set. The females scramble, except for Velvet, Sunset, and Jade. Tracker tries to come out on top but Firefly (aka Fireclaws) has won the crown.
The Kakapos have came under new leadership and only time will tell what their future holds.
Amongst the dunes of the desert a lone figure limps over the sand, unaware of what fate has came upon her family, with her own life uncertain, she might never return.
Weeks have past and now Firefly bears the collar of a dominant female, she has proven to be a fine leader already, but things have been tough.
Firefly is one of Velvet's littermates, she was nicknamed in the first of the series Fireclaws because of her fire color red fur. She had yet to have pups and she is aware of what Velvet is suffering through.
Tracker hasn't taken her defeat well, she craves for leadership but she's not really the one to lead a group this size, but she is like one of few that appear every so often.
Will Tracker cause chaos in the group?

Episode Nine: Growing Strong
Meet the Kakapos,
Yuki: The dominant female
Tybalt: her Dominant male
Sunny: the sentry
caring Sunset
Missing Miracle and
The mean Terrors clan.
The next day the Kakapos are lined up in the morning light. They aren't doing the morning chores which is unusual, they seem to be more alert now. But it's more like they're waiting.
The meerkats must be waiting for Miracle to return, or hoping that she managed to find them during the night, but the dawn has revealed no sign of the missing girl. For the Kakapos it's a horrible loss, Miracle was a young mother and heroine, and she'll be greatly missed.
But Yuki knows that they can't brood forever, the Kalahari doesn't give second chances and when one life dies, another emerges and perhaps this will be true for them.
Leaving Miracle's mother Velvet to watch the pups, the rest of the Kakapos head out but they're more wary and alert today. There shouldn't be any problems now, the group's new burrow is deep in their land and not in easy reach, but you can never tell.
However, while the Kakapos are doing well so far, at their counterpart mob the Terrors things are very cheery. The Terrors are already out foraging and they have made a distrubing discovery. On a tree stump is a Tsunami scent marker, and in the distance Moonrise sees the owners digging around on her mobs' land.
But there's little that she can do. The Tsunamis outnumber her little group so a battle is to be avoided at all costs, already her forces have wounds still healing. In irritation Moonrise quickly leads her group away unnoticed.
With this sudden move by the Tsunami clan this may mean bad things in store for the Kakapos. Though the concerns of the Terrors isn't none of their concerns, It is when the fact that the Terrors are offly close to their border if the Tsunamis keep going then the Terrors might start trying to make a living on Kakapo soil.
The Terrors have settled at their new burrow but it's in the middle of a dry river bed. It's very exposed and may not be the best place for Moonrise to raise her litter of pups. But Moonrise knows of this situation and she must a way to make ends meet for her little band.
Desperate to be helpful, Cielo (Spanish for sky) decides to go see if there is any good, free land for the mob. It's a risky move but worth the struggle if Moonrise's pups are to live, the Terrors are very low at only eight meerkats.
When Cielo returns there is good knews, the female has found a piece of untouched land that the Tsunamis haven't used, they may of well forgotten it was their land. But with this chance Moonrise follows the young female and it isn't long before the Terrors have found a new land.
For the Kakapos things seem to be good for now. There is no signs of any other meerkats, and no sign of Miracle. The group seems to have taken her for dead but a few keep a eye out for her.
For Velvet things seem slow and empty. Velvet was the only surviving pup of her litter when Cassie from the Tsunamis had killed the other pups, but every once and a while she goes belowground and cuddles Yuki's pups.
The idea of lossing her only daughter to the claws of her big sister makes Velvet want revenge, revenge for the loss of the only thing in life that gave her so much meaning. But could fate be possibly giving her another chance?
While Velvet is tending the pups, a unexpected visitor has appeared at the burrow. The meerkat is Tiresias, a large six year old male from a unknown mob. He's quite a charmer with the ladies, with more expirience than Corbin at the art of roving.
Tiresias sits by the burrow entrance just waiting. From what he smells he knows a female is below ground and he's going to wait for her to notice. Velvet soon appears and immediately spots the intruder, she growls at him, but Tiresias only leans foreward and begins grooming her.
Velvet knows she shouldn't do this after last time, but she's desperate now after the possible lost of Miracle. And ignoring her head once more, she follows the strange male into the bushes.

Episode Seven: Where's Miracle?
Meet the Kakapos,
Yuki: The new leader
Tybalt: Her loyal partner
Corbin: The old Casanova
Miracle: the young mother
Evil Queen Vitani, and
The Terrors Clan.
With all the trouble with their shifted order and the lossing of their leaders Sea Star and Piper, the Kakapos are finally settling down. Yuki is the undisputed queen now and now it seems that Tybalt is her King.
This morning Yuki had gaven birth to three pups two males and a single female. The babies will remain belowground for a while before they will join the adults, but somebody has to watch them, and those somebodies are brothers Corbin and Sherman.
Ever since losing his position Corbin has been a anti-social meerkat, he sits away from the group and doesn't take part with group activeties. Miracle decides to stay behind and keep a eye on the two former Tsunami boys, but Corbin only ignores the other two and settles down for a nap.
Sherman is curious by his big brother's behaviour but tries being a good sentry, but soon boredom takes over and he feels sleeply soon he curled up deep in the burrow for his own nap.
Miracle only snorts at the males imaturity. One of them might of been the father of her pups but they are lazy excuses for meerkats if they aren't bothering to help with babysitting.
But none of the trio, or even the rest of the Kakapos, know that a group of nine meerkats are charging into their land with two familiar faces at the lead. The group is being lead by a large female with many scars on her body and tail, the meerkat is now a enemy to the Kakapos and she has many bitter memories and revenge in her mind.
The babysitters are still unaware of the danger until Miracle notices two forms in the distance. She sits up watching closely it seems like it's only two, but then more start appearing until nine meerkats are lined up.
The meerkats duck and suddenly vanish from sight. Miracle becomes worried and cherps making Corbin wake up grumpily and Sherman poke his head out of the burrow. The three stare tensily into the bushes and then...out of the bushes charges the nine meerkats with a familiar face that only Corbin could know to well. Moonrise is back!
The meerkat on her left flank is Sunny but the male on her right is a unfamiliar scarred male. Miracle is horrified to see her aunt and uncle back and she and the two boys immediately head underground to move the pups.
The mob storms the entrance and Moonrise goes right down with her daughter Rosaline close behind. Her new lover Helios is scent marking around the burrow while the others dig the entrance or help scent mark. But Sunny stay to the sidelines watching the raid silently.
Sunny used to be the best sentry of the group, but now taking part in a raid against his own mob is hard for him. The others just ignore him as though he isn't there especially Helios.
Moonrise and Rosaline however, aren't interested in what the boys are doing. Their mission is as clear as water. Find a kill anyone that gets in their way. Deeper in the burrow babysitters Corbin, Miracle, and Sherman are heading deeper into the burrow with the pups.
But they can't run forever, somebody has to face the meerkats that are intruding in their family's burrow. Leaving the little girl pup for Corbin and Sherman to deal with Miracle turns and bravely goes to face her aunt and cousin.
It isn't long before Moonrise's face appears in the chamber finding her smaller niece standing defensively. Miracle growls a warning as Rosaline joins her mother, it shouldn't be a hard fight. Change that. Another of Moonrise's gang drops into the burrow and heads for the three.
The fight starts between Miracle, Rosaline, and Moonrise. It's two to one but Rosaline is only a teenager, but a fierce one at that. And soon Scarlet, a evicted female from a wild mob joins in the fight.
Miracle is being forced to give ground and she knows she might not be able to hold her own if there is isn't help.
Leaving Sherman to watch the pups, Corbin runs through the tunnals and gets into the rumble, evening out the odds slightly, but it might be a lost cause, Moonrise and Scarlet are fierce fighters and while they fight off the babysitters, Rosaline tries slipping past them.
A opening quickly appears and Rosaline slips past them heading into the burrow where Sherman is trying to calm the pups. Sherman is waiting for her sooner than expected and the two start fighting.
It seems like Helios wants in on the action for Scarlet is his littermate and he heads for the burrow entrance, but then Sunny attacks him and the two start fighting as well shocking the other meerkats.
But two large males also goes down belowground and suddenly a screech comes from the burrow. Moonrise, Scarlet, Drake, and Duncan appear from the burrow dragging a thrashing Miracle. This is a dire situation for she might be killed now.
But from the bushes comes Charolette and Cavattica, two sisters that we met in season one. Now both girls are adults now and they're ready to help their comrades. The burrow is thrown into chaos both above and belowground.
With all this fighting, could the Kakapos be facing a tragic end?
